Core Tools

Core Tools Certification Training (APQP, Control Plan, FMEA, SPC, MSA and PPAP)

This 5-day Core Tools Certification Training covers APQP, Control Plan, FMEA, SPC, MSA and PPAP using a "learn by doing" approach. Short teach points are followed by practical case studies and exercises. Delegates who pass the knowledge and application exam receive Core Tools Certification. We are one of the few programmes in the UK to offer this level of accreditation, and the only provider to offer Core Tools Certification underwritten by the UK IATF Oversight Office.

5 days

Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Control Plan Training

APQP and Control Plan is module one of the Core Tools Certification Training programme. This module can be completed as a standalone course or as part of the full Core Tools Certification Training.

1 day

Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Training

Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, (FMEA), is an analytical method to ensure potential problems have been considered, assessed for risk and actioned as part of both product and process design. It provides a record of an organisations collective knowledge about products and processes. It is widely used in many industrial sectors such as automotive, aerospace, renewable energy and mobile power generation. This course is based on the AIAG & VDA FMEA Handbook.

1 day

Statistical Process Control (SPC) Training

Statistical Process Control, (SPC), is a method for gaining an understanding of the types of variation within a process and hence guide actions to either control or reduce this variation. It is used in many industrial sectors such as automotive, aerospace, renewable energy and mobile power generation.

1 day

Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) Training

Measurement System Analysis, (MSA), is a method for gaining an understanding of the variation present in measuring systems. It is now widely used in many industrial sectors such as automotive, aerospace, renewable energy and mobile power generation, when a high level of confidence is required for the measurement of product characteristics.

1 day

Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) Training

Production Part Approval Process, (PPAP), is a method of demonstrating a product or process is production ready. The method was developed by the North American Automotive Industry and is now widely used in many industrial sectors such as automotive, aerospace, renewable energy and mobile power generation.

1 day

Reverse Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Training

How robust is your PFMEA? The Reverse FMEA process aims to identify and validate all potential failure modes and the controls in either a Process FMEA or a Machinery FMEA. It focuses initially on critical processes first (complaints, high risk) but can be expanded to cover all process steps. This leads to a better understanding of new projects, major changes, poka-yoke and mistake proofing devices. It also attempts to purposefully generate new defects and challenge existing understanding.

0.5 day

AIAG/VDA Combined FMEA Practitioner Training

The joint publication is the collaboration between AIAG/VDA, OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. The text has been completely rewritten and the FMEA method has been revised in a few key areas.

2 days

AIAG VDA PFMEA Practitioner

AIAG & VDA Combined Process FMEA: Transitioning for Practitioners is designed to take delegates through the 7 Step Approach to the construction, scoring and evaluation of risk (high, medium, low) and explain how to fully implement the new AIAG/VDA approach.

1 day

AIAG VDA DFMEA Practitioner

AIAG & VDA Design FMEA: Transitioning for Practitioners is designed to take delegates through the 7 Step Approach to the construction, scoring and evaluation of risk (high, medium, low) and explain how to fully implement the new AIAG/VDA approach
