Description
This training provides the fundamentals for process audits in the supply chain according to VDA 6.8, considering the process-oriented approach and risk analysis in the automotive industry.
Who should attend?
VDA 6.3 Process Auditors with professional experience in logistics who want to conduct audits according to VDA 6.8 in the future.
Prerequisites for attendance:
- Certificate of qualification to VDA 6.3:2023
- At least five years of professional experience in an industrial company, of which at least two years should be in logistics-related areas of activity (see VDA 6.8, chapter 3.2, preferably analogue to process elements L1-L7)
Course Outline
This one day training will provide you with an overview of the contents, objectives and application of VDA Volume 6.8.
The training alternates between theoretical content and practical exercises.
It covers the following topics:
- Structure of VDA Volume 6.8: Insight into the individual contents and sections with a focus on the requirements and implementation of the VDA guidelines.
- Applying the questionnaire in practice using the process elements (L1–L7).
- Areas of application: Examples for the application of VDA 6.8 along the supply chain, from project management to customer management, from transport and procurement logistics to in-house logistics.
- Introductory insights into audit implementation: Typical questions and approaches in process audits.

At the end of the training, you will receive a certificate of attendance which allows you to register for the VDA 6.8 Process Auditor Examination (ID 962). To conduct process audits according to VDA 6.8, you must take the VDA 6.8 – Process Auditor Examination (ID 962) after participating in this training.
